Visiting the top tourist attractions in Atlanta (November 2017)
Before 2017 started, I made a list of three new cities that I wanted to visit this year: Las Vegas, Chicago, and Atlanta. I spent New Years in Las Vegas and took a trip to Chicago over the summer, so the only city left on my list was Atlanta. Since I had a week off in between leaving a job and starting a new one, I took it as an opportunity to finally visit Atlanta and enjoy some time off before starting a new chapter in my career.
Over the course of three days, I visited some of the city's top tourist attractions including the College Football Hame of Fame, CNN Studios, Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. In addition, I met up with a friend and went to an Atlanta Hawks game, checked out the Mercedes-Benz Stadium a day before the SEC Championship, explored historic downtown Atlanta, walked Cascade Springs Nature Preserve Trail, and much more.
Overall, my first time in Atlanta was a good one. I've always heard good things about it, but it was great to experience it firsthand. The city has a lot to offer. It's a great place to visit, especially if you enjoy tourist attractions like museums, historic centers, and landmarks. Although I did a lot during my stay, there is a handful of things that I didn't get a chance to do. With it being just a short flight from Boston, I plan on visiting the city again sometime in the near future.
